Term 4 plans

Welcome to Term 4 - which is flying by with us into week 4 already!

Have a look at the websites on the side to find some school sites for kids!

This term we will be focussing on Food Packaging - why different types of food are packaged using different materials.

Hopefully we will be able to make some visits to places in our local community to see food being packaged and to ask the people why they used that type of materail for their packaging.

As part of this work we are looking at letter writing, e-mailing and writing fax messages. .

In our class we will continue with our learning in numeracy and reading building our individual skills.

For Physical education and Health we will be working on our skipping skills and on athletics - running, jumping and throwing...

Watch this space for some photo's, stories and reflections on these topics.

Warm hands

We were looking at warm and cool colours. The background is painted in cool colours and our hands we painted in warm colours. Warm colours are red, yellow, orange and pink. These colours remind us of warm things.
Cool colours are blue, purple, green. These colours remind us of cool things.

Colour Mixing

We are learning about colours and how they are made. We have learnt what our Primary and Secondary colours are - can you guess from our feet paintings?
Have you worked it out? Primary colours are blue, yellow and red.
Secondary colours are made by mixing these colours. What secondary colours did we make?

Blogging

Mrs Soper is showing us our blog that she created at the teachers staff meeting yesterday.

Each day one of the children from Room 3 will write on the blog about something we have done in class or at school.
